On July 1, 2021, Statistics Canada reported that there were 7,230,170 children under 18 in Canada. The main issues that parents of children aged 0 to 5 experienced while seeking child care arrangements were locating child care in their community, finding affordable child care, finding care that fit their employment or study schedule, and obtaining the kind of care they desired.
